Our expertise

our experience means you’ll always be one step ahead

With a mix of expertise and backgrounds, our team knows the Defence and Security sector inside out. We’ve been through the process ourselves, so we know how long things can take to move forward, what to expect when you’re getting vetted and what to do when you’re contract is coming to an end.

we are agile

When it comes to work arounds, we know what speeds up the process, so you can trust that when we give you a time-scale, it’s accurate.

What makes us different

we always put you first

We’re here to make everything as easy as possible for you. Think of us like a mentor, a colleague and a career advisor all rolled up into one. Whatever you need, we’re here to help.

we work closely with our clients

We have some amazing clients and we’ve worked really hard to build strong relationships with them over the years. With dedicated account teams, some working directly on on-site, we can learn about each role and its requirements first-hand.

we care about the long-term

We’re here to help you find new opportunities no matter which stage of your career you’re in. Whether you’re looking for your first step, you want to change sectors, you’re thinking about switching roles or your contract is finishing soon, we’ll be there for the whole ride.

we’re not just a recruitment agency

We provide a full service with recruiters both in our office and on-site working directly with clients. We’re there to help with everything from finding the right role and getting advice on vetting, to ensuring you get paid on time and looking after security.

how to apply for a role

The first step is to take a look at our current opportunities and apply. We’ll get in touch with you to talk you through the role and we’ll need to know your current situation. We’ll check if you already have security clearance or not and look to see if you’re a good match. If you are, we’ll submit your CV to the client and let you know what to expect and when. If you have any questions during this process, you can get in touch with the team at any time.

After your CV has been sent to the client, here’s what happens next.

1.

Initial screening

The client will screen your CV and we’ll let you know if you’re invited to an interview. Sometimes it can take a few days to arrange an interview because everything runs through a secure site and there are ID checks in place. Don’t worry though, we’ll keep in touch with both you and the client, to make sure it goes ahead.

2.

The interview

When you’re invited to a face-to-face interview, we’ll be in touch to talk through the interview process with you. We’ll let you know where you need to go, who you’re going to see and if the interview is competency-based or in another format.

3.

Feedback

We’ll be in touch on the day of your interview to see how it went and we’ll ask the client for feedback too. Interviews can stretch over multiple days due to access, so don’t be surprised if it takes a while. All of our clients take the time to consider each candidate carefully, before making a decision, to be sure that they’re getting the right person. If we haven’t heard within a few days, we’ll chase them up on your behalf.

4.

Accepting an offer

If the client wants to make an offer, we’ll get in touch with you to make the offer formally and see if you’re happy to accept. You’ll have a chance to negotiate on your rates and once we’re all agreed, your offer is formally accepted. Again this could take a few days, because of the need for approvals and any pre-on-boarding checks.

5.

Security Clearance

If you haven’t already got security clearance, now is when this process starts. We’ll work closely with both you and the client to make sure you’re aware of the timeframes and touchpoints for clearance. If you have any questions during this time, we’re here to help whenever you need. Once you’re cleared, you’re ready to start work.

6.

Going forward

There may be times when you want to look for a new opportunity or you’re coming to the end of a contract and you need to line-up the next one.  No matter what happens, you can trust that we’ll always be here to help you find your way.
